Bio
Emma Kozak is currently Vice President and National Head of Commercial Real Estate at RBC. Her team is responsible for the Commercial Bank real estate lending portfolio including strategy, capital allocation, product and policy. As well her team includes
mortgage origination and underwriting for RBC’s balance sheet, RBC’s mortgage conduit business (CMBS) and third-party origination (Global Asset Management) and third-party loan servicing. Emma brings a strong credit background and the ability to
balance credit policy with business goals and objectives to her role given her prior experience in both sales and adjudication roles. She spent 10 years in adjudication roles in Group Risk Management (GRM), ultimately leading the Real Estate and Agriculture adjudication teams, with responsibility for loan approvals and risk ratings nationally. Prior to joining GRM, Emma spent 10 years in client facing roles managing GTA based commercial real estate clients, both structuring loans and providing cash
management solutions.
She has a Bachelor of Arts (Geography) a Masters Degree in Urban Planning, both from Queens University.
