LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge that the land on which we live, work, and gather across Canada is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of many Indigenous Peoples. From coast to coast to coast, we recognize the enduring presence of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, who have cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial.

We honour their histories, cultures, and traditions, and we are committed to walking together in the spirit of reconciliation and respect.

We recognize that Indigenous people are overrepresented among people experiencing homelessness and we are committed to prioritizing access to safe and affordable homes for Indigenous people, working alongside Indigenous leaders to design, plan, and create and preserve affordable homes and and offer culturally appropriate support services.
