What is the Toque Campaign?

Our Annual Toque Campaign
Each year, our national Toque Campaign sees hundreds of volunteers and supporters sell toques across the country, with proceeds benefiting Partner Agencies working directly with people experiencing homelessness.
Since 1997, the annual Toque Campaign has supported nearly 200 community agencies across Canada, raising more than $7 million to date in support of long-term solutions to homelessness.
Where the Money Goes
50% of the gross proceeds from each Toque Campaign item benefit community Partner Agencies working directly with people experiencing homelessness. Proceeds from toques bought in a community stay in that community (this includes online sales).
Remaining proceeds (after campaign costs) support Raising the Roof’s national homelessness prevention initiatives, such as The Upstream Project.

The 2017 Toque Campaign
This year’s Toque Campaign will see more than 50 communities across the country selling toque items to raise funds and awareness for long-term solutions to homelessness. We’re also introducing two new items: the 2017 Classic Toque and the special edition Raising the Roof Hat! Find a complete list of items here.
The 2017 campaign also supports Raising the Roof’s recent shift in focus to homelessness prevention, an area that we know is an important element in ending homelessness in Canada for good. Toque proceeds benefiting Raising the Roof will support our national prevention initiatives. Our primary message: Buy a toque today to prevent homelessness tomorrow.
