9th Annual Comedy Night

Raising the Roof is Canada’s first and only national charitable organization dedicated to finding long-term solutions for the growing problem of homelessness.  Our mission is to ensure that all people in Canada have a home and the opportunity to participate in their communities as a means to overcoming poverty.  We provide opportunities for corporations, organizations, governments, and individuals to invest in local solutions.

Proceeds support Raising The Roof's local partner agencies that provide direct services to homeless men, women and children in communities across Canada, as well as our national Youthworks initiative – aimed at breaking the cycle of youth homelessness.

Local Halifax Recipient Agencies Are:

Home Bridge Youth Society: a non-profit charitable organization serving youth at risk, between the ages of 12-18, in 6 residential facilities in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Tawaak Housing Association: providing housing for the First Nations community in Nova Scotia. Units are located throughout the province.

Shaun is one of Canada’s most popular comedians, he has performed on CBC’s 22 Minutes, and his new series UNHITCHED which premiered on FOX in March 2008.
