Walking the Red Road for Homelessness Donate On Line

Starting July 4, 2010, mother and son, Eileen and Noel Joe will be Walking the Red Road to raise awareness of homelessness in Newfoundland and Labrador. They will be seeking donations for the cause, which will benefit Choices for Youth, St. John’s, NL; the St. John’s Native Friendship Centre, St. John’s, NL; Raising the Roof’s Youthworks initiative, nationally; and groups across the province of Newfoundland, working to end homelessness through the Newfoundland & Labrador Housing and Homelessness Network, a long time Raising the Roof partner in solutions to homelessness.

The Red Road is a physical and spiritual journey that will take Noel and Eileen through the summer as they walk 560 kilometers from Conne River to St. John’s to support the thousands of people in our province who are, or at risk of, homelessness.
