Business Gets Behind a Great Cause
As a business, you know how important it is to engage your workforce, give back to your community and invest in the health and wellbeing of our society. But you may not know about the many different ways in which you can join the effort to reduce and prevent homelessness in Canada - especially youth homelessness. Here are just a few:
Employee Engagement for 6 or 600
Join our high-energy, high-profile Toque Campaign. Organize your own workplace campaign. Have your volunteers join our team of volunteers on Toque Tuesday. Become an official campaign partner. There are lots of ways for your organization to take part in this fun-filled annual fundraiser!
Toque Proceeds Support Local Communities
80% of local Toque Campaign net proceeds benefit grass-root agencies in your community or region. The balance (20%) supports Raising the Roof’s Youthworks Initiative — aimed at breaking the cycle of youth homelessness in Canada.
Toques come in sleeves of 10 and cases of 200. Everything you need to start your own Toque Campaign, from a Corporate ‘How To’ manual to the order form for toques and materials, is listed below.
Become an Industry Leader in Solutions to Youth Homelessness

For the past 8 years, HOMES Publishing Group has expanded its already generous support of Raising the Roof through its annual HOMES Publishing Group Charity Golf Tournament. The event draws builders, developers and suppliers from the homebuilding industry across the Greater Toronto Area. August 2011 saw another very successful tournament, with $24,000 raised in support of Youthworks. ”To date we have raised $158,000 to help solve homelessness. Along the way, we have been able to publicize this important cause to hundreds of key industry executives, who are themselves wonderful candidates for future support. And of course, it’s a fun and cheerful way to raise funds, with an event that engenders camaraderie and fellowship among our clients, and creates an indelible and positive image for our company” said Michael Rosset, President of HOMES Publishing Group.
